Portfolio Filters

Portfolio filters are filters that are linked to a particular stock and these filters will trigger an alert in any of your min-max values are passed. They are accessed through the Stock option in the main menu. Just like the general filters, with portfolio filters you can define filters Market Capitalization, Price to earnings (P/E), Price/Earning to Growth (PEG), Earning per Share (EPS), Price Per Sales, Price Per Book ratios Price and Dividend yield changes.

You first have to add the tickers for your stocks. You need to add at least one ticker in order to edit its filters.

In this particular example there are 2 filters defined for Google.

The Market Cap filter and the PE filter. The Market Cap filter will send an alert if Google’s Market Cap goes over 50.000 Millions (50 Billions) or go under 10 Millions. In Google’s case I will receive a notification daily, since its market capitalization is around 170 Billions.

The PE filter will send an alert if the Price to Earnings ratio drops under 1 or goes over 12. Again this will trigger a daily alert since Google’s PE is well over 12.

Unlike the general filters, that will send an alert for a stock if all the filters match, these filters will trigger an alert if at least one of them is matched. Another difference is that with the general filters you get the stocks with values between the Min/Max borders while with the portfolio filters you get alerts if your stocks go over or under the Min/Max values.
